NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh On Sunday assured all possible help to Bihar, which has been hit by devastating floods.
Mr. Singh conveyed this to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who flew in here for a meeting with the Prime Minister.
During the meeting, Mr. Kumar apprised the Prime Minister of the flood situation in the State and the relief efforts undertaken, Prime Minister’s media advisor Sanjaya Baru said.
Mr. Kumar also sought central assistance of over Rs. 8,000 crore to expedite relief operations.
