Sir Michael Pitt, the independent chair overseeing the government’s Lessons Learned review into this summer’s floods, is calling on those affected to log on and share their experiences.

The review, which is being led by the Cabinet Office, will study the emergency response to the floods in June and July and look at ways to reduce the risk and impact of flooding in future.

19 - Agno River Basin in Pangasinan under flood watch

The Agno River Basin in Pangasinan is under flood watch based on the report posted by the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Administration at its website on Saturday morning.

It is at the Lower Agno River Basin in Pangasinan that the San Roque Dam, the highest dam all over Southeast Asia and second highest in Asia, drains its water during power generation.

San Roque Dam is down below the Ambuklao and Binga Dams in the Upper Agno River Basin, both located in Benguet, which opened one gate by one meter each and are currently on spilling operations.
