Flood relief dilemma: Cash or credit?
Gov. Pawlenty on Friday directed state agencies to provide $32 million in flood relief to southeastern Minnesota. Pawlenty said the money is the first step in rebuilding the communities damaged by last month's flood. But it's not certain if long-term relief is on the way. The governor also said he's ready to call a special session so more money would be available, but he and legislative leaders still haven't agreed on the details of an agenda.
