PATNA: The flood situation in Bihar continued to be grim with the Bagmati, Kosi and Gandak rivers inundating fresh areas in Bagaha town and submerging roads in West Champaran, Saharsa, Supaul and Sitamarhi districts, forcing the authorities to issue high alert in the districts.
According to Central Water Commission, the Gandak, Bagmati and Kosi were in spate following heavy rains in their catchment areas in Nnepal for the last two days and release of several lakh cusecs of water from Birpur and Valmiki barrages.
