New Delhi, Aug. 16 (PTI): The situation in Bihar, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh remained grim as incessant rains caused a rise in the levels of rivers while pilgrimage to the Badrinath shrine was suspended today following heavy landslide.
In Bihar, 13 more deaths were reported from four districts as the toll in the current spell of floods went up to 300. Over 1.5 crore people have been affected by the floods that have destroyed standing crops worth nearly Rs 271 crore, besides damaging over 1,59,500 houses.
