Patna: Hundreds of angry flood victims looted animal fodder from a goods train in Bihar's Khagaria district on Wednesday. The victims attacked the standing train near Mansi in the district and looted the fodder meant for distribution in the flood-affected areas. "Flood victims armed with traditional weapons looted the animal fodder," police officials in Khagaria said. Bullock carts, cycles and small trucks were used to carry the animal fodder after the loot. Animal fodder is scarce in the flood-affected districts of Bihar. Over 600 animals, mostly cows and buffaloes, have died in the flood-hit areas of the state. |

It seeks to share the influences of changing natural and anthropogenic processes on the river-scapes and how the resultant changes in river-scapes influence the livelihoods and ecosystems. Taking an integrated approach of river-basin management, it aims to enhance basin-literacy by linking the processes in river-scape, land-scape and human-scape.
