Govt contributes further $3.6m for Asian flood relief

The Federal Government has announced another $3.6 million in emergency relief funding for southern Asian communities affected by the floods in August of this year.
The Government says the funding will pay for emergency medicines, water purifying tablets and the provision of mobile health facilities and temporary shelters in Bangladesh, Nepal and Pakistan.
It brings Australia's total contribution to flood-affected communities to $8.3 million.
