CM seeks special flood relief package 15 Sep 2007, 0201 hrs IST,TNN

PATNA: CM Nitish Kumar on Friday asked the Centre to provide special relief package for flood victims in Bihar on the pattern of special relief package announced for tsunami victims.

The CM made this observation while reviewing the flood relief work in Bihar through video conferencing. He said that the flood relief and rehabilitation work was going on a war footing.

The government has released Rs 1,302 crore for rehabilitation purposes, he said, adding that around 2.19 crore people are affected in the recent floods.
