Bihar flood: 11 more people dead

PATNA: With reports of 11 fresh deaths, the toll in the current spell of floods in Bihar rose to 556 though there was a marked improvement in the overall situation.

Of the 11 deaths in last three days, the highest number was from Samastipur (five), followed by East Champaran (four) and Darbhanga (two), state disaster management control room sources said.

Meanwhile, all the major rivers were receding with no rains in the catchment areas, Central Water Commission sources said.
