Flood Damage Delays Inter-Korean Summit
The inter-Korean summit originally scheduled for Aug. 28-30 in Pyongyang has been delayed until Oct. 2-4. In a telephone message to National Intelligence Service Director Kim Man-bok on Saturday, Kim Yang-gon, the director of the United Front Department of North Korea's Workers Party, asked the South to delay the summit for about a month due to severe flood damage in the North.
