RAINFALL SITUATION IN THE COUNTRY

Orissa
- Heavy to very heavy rainfall has been reported in the State during last 24 hours. Some rainfall figures are (in cm): Puri -22, Bhubaneshwar – 19 cm, Nimapada -18, Kotagarh -17 and Kakatpur -16.
- 06 human deaths have been reported from Cuttack district, due to lightening during last 24 hours.
- Due to depression over Bay of Bengal, widespread rainfall with scattered heavy to very heavy falls and isolated extremely heavy falls is likely over Orissa and its neighbouring States. An advisory has been issued from to concerned States to take precautionary measures.
